Founder & Owner

Stephany is the founder and owner of A Little Journey Summer Camp as well as A Little Journey Montessori School. Stephany has been working in early childhood education for a little over a decade and has her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Through many years of working in childcare, Stephany has seen the need for more summer options for children, especially younger children before and after their kindergarten year, and started A Little Journey Summer Camp to provide quality summer care for children of all ages. Working with children is her passion and she wants to provide a trusted service to working parents.

Stephany is married with three dogs and two cats. She spends a majority of her time operating A Little Journey Montessori School and A Little Journey Summer Camp but also loves to get outdoors, hunt with her bird dogs and shed dog, and travel the world!

Camp Director & Lead Counselor

Ember (or Em for short) is an experienced educator with over 8 years of experience, specializing in outdoor education. Em is deeply committed to supporting each child's unique developmental journey, believing that education should be tailored to their individual needs and interests. With a passion for fostering independence and a love for learning, Em encourages hands-on experiences that allow children to explore and grow in a natural setting.

When not teaching, you can find Em camping, hiking, or biking, fully immersed in nature. If the weather keeps Em inside, you might catch her reading, painting, or propagating plants. With a deep love for exploration and creativity, Em is dedicated to inspiring the next generation to become confident and independent learners.
